Tremble v. Town & Country Credit Corp., No. 05-2625, 2006 WL 163140 (N.D. Ill. Jan. 18, 2006)

The plaintiff in this case alleged that the defendant had violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by obtaining the plaintiff’s credit report without providing the plaintiff with certain FCRA disclosures.  VBLH&C argued that the FCRA did not provide a private right of action for the plaintiff’s disclosure claim.  The court agreed.  Thus, the court granted judgment on the pleadings on that claim.
