Governmental Litigation and Counseling

Varga Berger Ledsky Hayes & Casey has represented numerous governmental agencies in matters ranging from litigation to freedom of information to open meetings, to ethical issues involving state and municipal statutes, ordinances, and regulations.  Our attorneys have represented such governmental entities as the Illinois Supreme Court, the Governor of the State of Illinois, the Mayor of the City of Chicago, the Chicago Metropolitan Pier and Exposition Authority, the Chicago Transit Authority, The Chicago Housing Authority, the Police Board of the City of Chicago, and the Chicago-Gary Regional Airport Authority.  With previous experience as Chief of the Legal Counsel Division of the City of Chicago’s Law Department, our chief governmental attorney gained experience in intergovernmental affairs, municipal legislation, constitutional review of proposed municipal legislation and regulations, and issue analysis resulting from the City of Chicago Ethics Ordinance.
